The Artist

I come from a lineage of artistic practice, where skill, patience, and attention to detail have been cultivated across generations. From an early age, I engaged deeply with fiber and textile techniques, learning to shape material through labor, rhythm, and intuition. These formative experiences continue to inform my work, where every stitch and structure becomes a meditation on form, memory, and meaning.

“More importantly, I consider myself a student of art.”

My work explores fiber as a sculptural and conceptual medium. Through knitting and textile techniques, I transform yarn and thread into forms that move beyond their traditional associations with softness and domesticity.

Drawing from global textile traditions and decades of study across cultures, my practice brings together diverse materials, processes, and symbolic references. Each piece reflects an ongoing dialogue between cultural memory, material exploration, and emotional expression.

At the heart of my work lies a paradox: fiber—often perceived as fragile—holds the capacity to become strong, monumental, and deeply expressive.

GLobal ARTistic influences

Throughout my life, I have eagerly studied knitting, textiles, and all kinds of weaves. I was fortunate to combine my love of knitting with my passion for travel. This has taken me across the world to five continents, learning from the art of knitting across various cultures, methods, techniques, processes, and materials. Bringing this altogether, I continuously try to pair cultural expression and specialty materials in my work with the intent of evoking emotional reaction in my audience.
